As many of you already know, I spent residing and traveling through Europe. I was based for gastronomy, background, and culture in the city of Barcelona — Spain’s most popular tourist stop, also among my all-time favourite destinations. I had the opportunity to dine at some of the best restaurants in Barcelona when I was not traveling.
It was not an easy endeavor, however I was able to pair my list down to the ten best restaurants in Barcelona in terms of service, food, and taste. It is my expectation that you try out these gems ! When we forgot your preferred leave us a comment below!
Situated across Calle Tuset at the Balmes area, this stylish eatery offers the qualities of all top restaurants: air and superb food. Mood light and luxury furniture brings you in the stunning paneled bar to some handsome dining room of leather chairs, tables, and tableware that is pristine. During a window, diners can see the prep work going on in the kitchen, which puts out an collection of Catalan dishes with a twist. For those of you who want to forgo traditional tapas to get a night, this is your opportunity to sample tartar de buey (ox tartar), garlic prawns, along with sausage grilled in cava. A trip to Barcelona would not be complete without a stroll throughout the heated district. What was the center of life in Barcelona is currently a neighborhood full strewn with boutiques, bars, and museums. Situated in century-old building near the Born Cultural Center is the Casa Delfín Restaurant. Here is the ideal place in the neighborhood for traditional Catalan tapas such as suquet (fish stew), grilled sardines, and grilled calçots (Catalan spring onions) with romesco sauce. But you may choose to skip breakfast to leave enough room for Casa Delfín’s signature dish; arroz caldoso con bogavante (soupy rice with lobster). Keep an eye out for the daring green striped awning. El Vell Sarria
Meat fans look Casa Paloma is the best splurge for carnivores. On the menu you will find Angus, Frisian, and Wagyu beef dishes plated and grilled. Unlike other eateries in the area, Casa Paloma’s beans are minimally seasoned — relying on the natural salty properties of the meat to impress. Cuts are offered by weight (250 g, 380g, 600g, and 1 kg), making it easy to share one of the dining table. Sides like potatoes gratin lettuce, and macaroni make the pairings. Other outstanding non-meat choices comprise tuna tartar and ceviche. Service is excellent along with the modern design give a very vibe to the restaurant. Make reservations in advance! After years of renovations the Mortiz brewery is currently open to the public. Thanks to the work of French architect, Jean Nouvel, this restaurant that is 4,500-square-meter includes a bold design scheme that unites and minimalist furnishings and the original stone walls of the building. The brewery offers two types of Moritz beer on tap, as well as sangria and vermouth cocktails that are several. The menu is made up of beer-friendly foods like Frankfurt sausages, bratwurst, quiche, and hamburgers. We adore the Alsace-inspired specialty of the home; Flammkuchen (crispy thin bread topped with crème fraîche, bacon, and onions). Situated in a century house, El Vell Sarrià is known restaurant in Barcelona, and has been welcoming guests and devoting them. To visit this restaurant and sit indoors is to miss the experience. The square is a pedestrian place, therefore people watching is a pastime from up here. Calle Sarrià is a route surrounded by multitudes of style stores and stores, restaurants, cafés. The restaurant specializes in rice dishes that are tasty. With superior customer support, old world appeal and vaulted ceilings, El Vell Sarrià is a genuine split from tapas and the innumerable pinchos being sporadically across town. Santa Caterina Market
Known after master chef, Jean-Louis Neichel, this restaurant could wow some foodie with a place for French cuisine and Mediterranean. Classically trained but with an affinity for neighborhood Catalan ingredients such as olive oil, fresh-caught fish, along with veggies, chef Neichel has reached a pinnacle in his career with his gorgeously and generous prepared tasting menus along with Relais & Chateaux gourmet standing. Situated in the high-class Pedralbes neighborhood of Barcelona, attentive wait staff and Neichel’s diverse design provide a feel to it. We recommend splurging about the seven-course tasting menu (you may need to skip dinner ). Be sure to make reservations well beforehand. Address: Carrer Bertran I Rózpide. As I learned the hard way sushi is tough to find in Barcelona, that is astonishing considering the abundance of fresh fish the town enjoys. Don’t settle for sub-par rolls; Parco Sushi makes it right in all aspects of innovative cuisine , good service, and design. Eating this is an adventure in itself. Tables and chairs are all swapped out to get a noteworthy selection of ottomans leather armchairs, and coffee tables. The isn’t the only remarkable thing about Parco. The sushi here is incredibly new and portions are generous. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by all the sashimi and roll alternatives, let your server place the order for you personally (we’re a little suspicious but it worked out perfectly). We particularly love the butterfish with flambéed nigiri, black truffle, along with the sea bass sashimi. Reservations are essential! Address: Passeig de Gràcia 11. Taller de Tapas
The restaurant within the Santa Caterina Market (A.K.A. Cuines Santa Caterina) is just one of our all-time favourite restaurants in Barcelona. To reviewing the lengthy menu of both specialties the luminous and airy interior offers tons of pure lighting. The restaurant’s idea is to deliver goodness, whether it’s Asian-style noodles together with Mediterranean prawns tuna tartar, or fresh-caught monkfish stew. Managed by the esteemed Tragaluz Restaurant Group, this area has a reputation for support that is terrific and food quality. Santa Caterina Market is tourist attraction inside. After browsing the produce stalls in the market head indoors to the restaurant to encounter this gem on your own! Taller de Tapas is among the best locations to sample gourmet tapas. Of all the locations, we enjoy La Rambla the best. Here you can dine just like Scarlett Johanssen failed in the Woody Allen movie,”Vicky Cristina Barcelona” (a scene was filmed here).
